About me

Hi, I’m Vivian. I am an experienced, friendly and skilled piano teacher who is based in Auckland, New Zealand. I empower adult piano students to:

  • Be able to play your favorite pieces! Think Bohemian rhapsody, Beethoven's moonlight sonata, Golden hour by Jvke and more, so that you can effortlessly entertain your dinner guests and receive raucous applause.
  • Unwind with piano playing after a long day at work or being a busy parent so that you have something that fills your own cup, after filling others' all day. Something that is solely for you and brings you immense joy.
  • Ignite your soul through a new hobby because no time is better than now! Achieve bonus mental health points because you're doing a new song that you love and can't wait to sit down and play it. It is a breath of fresh air after demanding bosses and consistent work meetings.

I am a Classically trained pianist from the University of Auckland and have been teaching successfully for over 10 years. My students have achieved great success by grades, recitals or casually learning at their individual pace. 

What you can expect from our courses:
I take you through the basics,  step-by-step in an easy manner. Many song examples are provided to reinforce musical concepts. Hand and score are both displayed on video so you can follow along easily.
